Delegation of UAE scholars Meet IEA Ministers, Officials

KABUL, Mar. 17 – A high-ranking delegation of scholars of the United Arab Emirates met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, minister of the ministry of order of virtue and prevention of vice and a number of sheikhs of the country, on Thursday, according to Abdul Qagar Balkhi the spoksman of the foreign ministry.

At the beginning, the Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the delegation and mentioned that the United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Emirate have long historical relations and we are committed to good and positive relations in the future.

Afghanistan is more peaceful than ever, power islands have been destroyed, drug cultivation has been reduced to zero and nine million children are studying. Our politics is balanced and we don’t want Afghanistan to become a stronghold of confrontation and force testing.

Minister Muttaqi expressed that Afghanistan is a mineral country and the United Arab Emirates has good investment opportunities in this area. We and you will cooperate with each other in political, economic and cultural fields.

Afterwards, the head of the delegation, Mr. Omar Habtoor Al-Darai, expressed his satisfaction with the current situation in Afghanistan and thanked for the warm welcome of his delegation, adding that we are brothers and we have come for your sake and for your good and we want good relations with you.

After that, the Minister of order of virtue and prevention of vice, Sheikh Muhammad Khalid Hanafi talked about the role of the United Arab Emirates during the last Jihad and praised their help.

The Deputy Minister of Higher Education Mr. Mufti Muhammad Tahir said that this system is being proceed under the patronage of scholars and they do not spare their efforts in the development of Afghanistan’s educational process.

Later, Sheikh Mohammad Ismail Rahmani, Sheikh Mohammad Adel Samangani and Sheikh Abdul Sami Ghaznavi said in their speeches that Afghanistan is the home of peace. Every land of the country is stained with the blood of the martyrs, so we will do our best to succeed in fulfilling their dreams and implement the Shariat in its true spirit.

Later, Mr. Habtoor Al-Darai expressed his satisfaction with the speeches of the Afghan side and said that we took a positive picture of Afghanistan and assured that we are ready to fully cooperate in the field of education and our schools and universities are ready to help you.

At the end, minister Muttaqi, with the arrival of the month of Ramadan, requisted special attention of the delegation in the field of liberating Afghan prisoners in the Emirates, reflecting the true image of the Islamic Emirate, developing relations with the Gulf countries and humanitarian aid for which the delegation promised to cooperate in every possible way.
