A delegation headed by Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, the Deputy Minister of Railways from the Ministry of Public Works of Afghanistan, embarked on a journey to Turkey yesterday evening to attend the 34th regional meeting of the UIC Association. This official invitation from Turkey marks the occasion.

 

The Ministry of Public Works has indicated that the agenda for the meeting includes the presentation of the association’s annual report, discussions on enhancing railway and transportation infrastructure across regional nations, recent accomplishments, and efforts to attract investments.

 

Furthermore, the Deputy Minister of Railways from the Ministry of Public Works will deliver insights on Afghanistan’s ongoing railway initiatives, recent progress, achievements, regional rail connectivity, advancements, and future strategies during the gathering.

 

The UIC is recognized as an international association dedicated to railway development, transportation, and rail advocacy. Afghanistan joined this association in 2013.
