Situated 40 kilometers away from Kandahar, the dam stands as one of Afghanistan’s largest, serving as a vital water resource.

 

Apart from providing irrigation for agricultural lands in seven districts, the dam plays a crucial role in supplying clean drinking water to the residents of Kandahar city.
