On Sunday a significant number of emigrants returned to the country through various routes, receiving essential services in different areas. The complete report of these activities is as follows:
Nangarhar
Torkham (Durand Fictitious Line)
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
A total of 145 families comprising 205 individuals were registered and underwent biometric procedures at Torkham.
Finance Management Committee:
The Financial Affairs Committee provided assistance to 54 families, granting each family 10,000 Afghanis, amounting to a total of 540,000 Afghanis.
Transport and Transfer Committee:
From Torkham, 47 families with a total of 233 members were safely transported to Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, and Kabul. These families were also provided with a rental allowance of 41,000 Afghani.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Various services were offered to returning refugees in the Torkham camp, including health-related provisions. The following services were provided:
– Food: 3,500 meals and 130,000 liters of clean water were distributed in the Torkham camps.
– Food items and clothing: The returned refugees in Torkham received the following items: 300 wooden blankets, 75 wooden floors, 75 bags of raw food, and 450 bags of mineral water.
– Communications: 306 SIM cards were distributed to the returnees free of charge, along with free minutes and internet packages.
Job Seeking Committee:
The Employment Committee in Torkham recorded the following individuals today:
– (3) individuals with bachelor’s degrees
– (1) individual with a post-baccalaureate degree
– (1) individual with a bachelor’s degree
– (107) laborers from disadvantaged backgrounds
– (70) professionals and skilled workers
In total, 182 individuals were recorded by the committee.
Additionally, the committee provided public awareness sessions on explosives, hygiene, child protection, and information about Afghanistan to 128 children in Torkham. Games and entertainment programs were also organized for the children to support their mental well-being.
The committee successfully reunited 25 children from Omari camp with their families in the provinces.
Kandahar
Spin Boldak (Durand Fictitious Line)
A total of 41 families consisting of 494 members returned to the country and underwent registration in Spin Boldak.
The Financial Affairs Committee provided 10,000 Afghanis to each of the 41 families, amounting to a total of 410,000 Afghanis.
From Spin Boldak, 21 families comprising 127 members were safely transported to provinces such as Kandahar, Herat, Ghazni, and Kabul.
In Spin Boldak, various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning refugees:
– Food: 1,000 meals and clean water were distributed in Spin Boldak.
– Health: 442 returnees received medical treatment in Spin Boldak.
– Clothing: Refugees in temporary camps received tents, blankets, and clothing.
– Communication: The Telecommunication Services Agency distributed 681 SIM cards with free minutes and internet packages to the returning refugees.
In Spin Boldak today, the Employment Committee recorded the following individuals:
– (2) individuals with bachelor’s degrees
– (2) individuals who have memorized the Quran
– (1) religious scholar
– (56) laborers
– (48) professionals
In total, 110 individuals were registered.
The committee also conducted public awareness sessions on explosives, hygiene, child protection, and information about Afghanistan, reaching 59 children in Spin Boldak. Games and entertainment programs were organized for the children to promote their mental well-being. Additionally, the committee successfully located and reunited 2 children who had been separated from their families.
Paktika
Angor Ada (Durand Fictitious Line)
Temporary Settlement Committee:
4 families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp at Angur base camp.
At Angor Ada, various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning refugees:
– Food: 112 meals and clean water were distributed to the refugees at Angur base and Sharna.
– Health: 48 returning refugees received medical treatment, and 3 individuals were vaccinated at Angur base.
Herat
28 families were placed in a short-term settlement camp (University Camp) in Herat.
NImroz
Silk Road
Accreditation, Registration, and Reception Committee:
33 families consisting of 128 members returned to the country and registered through the Silk Road in Nimroz province. Additionally, 1598 travelers have also returned.
The Finance Management Committee provided cash donations of 10,000 Afghanis to 6 families on the Silk Road in Nimroz province, totaling 60,000 Afghanis.
In Nimroz, 24 families with 96 members were placed in a short-term settlement camp. Arrangements were made for their accommodation, clothing, and food, and the IOM organization provided both cash and non-cash contributions.
Various services, including healthcare, were provided to the refugees who returned through the Silk Road in Nimroz:
– Communication: Free SIM cards with free minutes and internet packages were distributed to the refugees by the officials of the communication and information technology department.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
Public awareness sessions were conducted today for 128 refugees on the Silk Road in Nimroz province. They were provided with useful information regarding their registration, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, as well as understanding the country, Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.
Kabul
Transport and Tranfer Committee:
25 families comprising 112 members were safely transported to provinces such as Kunduz, Balkh, Takhar, and Paktia. The total cost of car rental for these families amounted to 77,730 Afghanis.
Aggregate Figures of Various Activities of All Doors and Committees:
– Total Registered Migrants: 219 families, 827 individuals
– Total Transferred Migrants: 93 families, 472 individuals
– Total Assisted Migrants: 101 families
– Temporarily Settled Migrants: 116 families
– Total Refugees Treated: 490 individuals
– Distributed SIM Cards: 1020 digits
