Nangarhar
Torkham (Durand Fictitious Line):
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
A total of 63 families and 126 members were registered and underwent the biometric process at Torkham.
Transport and Transfer Committee:
A total of 109 families, comprising 571 members, were safely transported from Torkham to Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, and Kabul. An amount of 147,400 Afghanis was provided to them as rent support.
Finance Management Committee:
The Financial Affairs Committee distributed 10,000 Afghanis to 131 families, totaling 1,310,000 Afghanis.
Temporary Settlement Committee:
In Torkham, 25 families were accommodated in temporary settlement camps. The water supply issue was resolved.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning refugees at Torkham Omari Camp. Today’s services included the distribution of 4,000 meals and 135,000 liters of clean water. Additionally, the following items were distributed: 300 blankets, 100 packages of clothes (including baby blankets, hand wipes, socks, and bunnies), 100 packages of raw food items, 400 packages of mineral water, and 50 cartons of hand washing liquid. Furthermore, 399 SIM cards were distributed to the returnees, free of charge, with enabled free minutes and internet bundles.
Job seeking Committee:
In Torkham, the employment committee recorded a total of 9 bachelor’s degree holders, 2 post-baccalaureate degree holders, 3 memorizers, 156 poor workers, and 123 professionals, making a total of 293 individuals. Public awareness sessions were conducted for 125 children, covering topics such as explosives, cleanliness, child protection, and information about Afghanistan. Fun programs and games were also organized to promote the mental well-being of these children.
Additionally, two children who were separated from their families were found and reunited with their families.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
In Torkham, public awareness campaigns continued to provide useful information to the returning refugees, as done in the past.
Kandahar
Spin Boldak (Durand Fictitious Line):
A total of 158 families comprising 790 members have returned to the country and completed the registration process through Spin Boldak.
The Financial Affairs Committee has provided 10,000 Afghanis to 158 families, totaling 1,580,000 Afghanis.
Nineteen families from Spin Boldak, consisting of 120 members, were safely transported to Kandahar, Herat, and Kabul provinces today. An amount of 22,000 Afghanis was paid as rent support to these families.
Committee on Services and Health Affairs:
In Spin Boldak, various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning refugees. Today’s services included the distribution of food and water to 2,310 individuals, medical treatment for 610 returned migrants, and vaccination for 30 individuals. Tents, blankets, and other necessary items were also distributed in short-term camps. Additionally, the Department of Communication Services distributed 400 SIM cards to the returned refugees, free of charge, with enabled free minutes and internet packages.
Job Seeking Committee:
In Spin Boldak, the Employment Committee registered a total of 9 bachelor’s degree holders, 1 post-baccalaureate degree holder, 8 religious scholars, 178 poor workers, and 138 professionals. This amounts to a total of 334 individuals.
As in the past, public awareness campaigns were conducted for the returned refugees in Spin Boldak. The topics covered included registration procedures, transfers, financial assistance, short-term settlement, understanding of the country and its Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, and education. Useful information was provided, and media cooperation was sought to prepare a report on the activities.
Paktika
Angor Base (Durand Fictitious Line)
A total of 5 families have returned to the country through Angur base and have completed the registration process.
5 families were transported to their respective regions and provinces from Angur Aday.
The Financial Affairs Committee provided 10,000 Afghanis in cash to each of the 5 families at Angur Ada, totaling 50,000,000 Afghanis.
Various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning refugees at the Angur base. Today, 179 meals and clean water were distributed to the refugees. Additionally, 74 returned refugees received medical treatment, and 8 different vaccines were administered at Angur Adha and Sharna.
The Telecommunication Services Agency distributed 21 SIM cards with free minutes and internet packages to the returned migrants at no cost.
As in the past, public awareness sessions were conducted for the returned refugees at Angur base. The topics covered included registration procedures, transfers, financial assistance, short-term settlement, understanding of the country and its Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, and education. Emphasis was also placed on creating awareness about a better future for children.
Harat
Islam Kala Fort
38 families returned to the country through Islam Fort, and biometric data was collected from 83 family members aged 14 years and above.
24 families on the way to Islam Fort received 10,000 Afghanis each, totaling 240,000 Afghanis.
Nimroz
Silk Road:
A total of 14 families comprising 48 members have returned to the country via the Silk Road in Nimroz province and completed the registration process. Additionally, 2,289 passengers have also returned to the country.
10,000 Afghanis in cash were donated to 5 families traveling to Islam Fort, amounting to a total of 50,000,000 Afghanis.
In Nimroz, 20 families with 64 members have been accommodated in a short-term settlement camp. Arrangements have been made for their accommodation, clothing, and food, and the IOM organization has provided both cash and non-cash assistance.
Various services, including healthcare, were provided to the refugees returning via the Silk Road in Nimroz today. Officials from the Communications and Information Technology distributed 14 SIM cards to the refugees free of charge, which included free minutes and internet packages.
Committee on Information and Public Awareness:
Public awareness sessions were conducted for 48 refugees traveling on the Silk Road in Nimroz Province. They were provided with useful information regarding registration procedures, transfers, financial assistance, short-term settlement, understanding of the country and its Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.
Kabul
Committee on Transport and Transfer:
56 families comprising 162 members were safely transported from Kabul to Kunduz, Balkh, and Khost provinces. The total cost of car rental for these families amounted to 202,000 Afghanis.
The aggregate figures of the various activities of all the doors and committees are as follows:
