Afghan refugees returned from various routes to the country and received necessary services in different areas. The detailed report of committee activities is as follows:
Torkham (Durand Fictitious Line)
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
Through Torkham, 32 families have returned to the country, and the registration and biometric processing of 76 family members have been completed.
Finance Management Committee:
The Financial Affairs Organizing Committee has provided assistance of 200,000 Afghanis to 20 families.
Transport and Transfer Committee:
Safely transported 9 families with a total of 51 members from Torkham to Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, and Kabul provinces. These families have also received a rental allowance of 1,000 Afghanis.
Temporary Settlement Committee:
Accommodated 15 families in a short-term settlement camp in Torkham.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Various services, including food and health, have been provided to returning refugees in the Torkham camp.
– Food distribution: 430 meals and 60,000 liters of clean water have been distributed in the Torkham camps.
– Health services: Provided treatment to 561 returning refugees in Torkham.
– Distribution of food items and clothing: Blankets, floors, gas stoves, 22 packages of raw food items, and other miscellaneous items have been distributed to the returning refugees.
– Communication services: Distributed 72 SIM cards to the returnees free of charge, along with free minutes and internet packages.
Job Seeking Committee:
– The Torkham Employment Committee has registered a total of 50 individuals, including 3 bachelor’s degree holders, 2 high school graduates, 1 hafiz, 2 religious scholars, 26 poor workers, and 16 professionals.
Public awareness sessions were conducted for 82 children in Torkham, covering topics such as explosives, cleanliness, child protection, and information about Afghanistan. Games and entertainment programs were organized for their mental well-being.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
Public awareness sessions were conducted for refugees in Torkham, providing them with valuable information about registration, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, as well as an understanding of the country, the Islamic system, immigration, patience and tolerance, education, and training.
Similar awareness sessions were conducted by the officials of the Amr Ba-al-Moruf and Nahi-in-ul-Munkar department of Nangarhar province in different areas.
The committee, in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) office, distributed 15 migration forms to the refugees.
Kandahar:
Spin Boldak (Durand Hypothetical Line):
Through Spin Boldak, 20 families comprising 94 members have returned to the country and have been successfully registered.
Transport and Shipping Committee:
Safely transported five 20 families from Spin Boldak to Kabul province. These families have received a rental allowance of 15,000 Afghanis.
Placed 29 families in a short-term settlement camp in Spin Boldak.
Various services, including food and health, have been provided to returning refugees in Spin Boldak.
– Food distribution: 400 meals and clean water have been distributed in Spin Boldak.
– Health services: Provided treatment to 261 returnees in Spin Boldak.
– Public awareness: 493 refugees have received public awareness sessions on various health-related topics.
– Clothing: Distributed tents, blankets, and other necessary items to refugees in the short-term camps.
– Communication services: The Telecommunications Services Agency has distributed 114 SIM cards to the returned migrants, offering free minutes and internet packages.
The employment committee in Spin Boldak has registered 76 individuals, including 1 Hafiz, 2 religious scholars, 39 workers, and 34 professionals.
Paktika:
Angor Ada Rout:
Various services, including health, were provided to returning refugees at Angur base.
Food distribution: 131 bread and clean water were distributed in Angoor Ada and Sharna.
Public awareness sessions were conducted for refugees on the way to Angur base. They received valuable information about registration, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, as well as an understanding of the country, the Islamic system, migration, patience and tolerance, education, and training.
Nimroz:
Silk Road Rout:
Registration, Varification and Reception Committee:
33 families comprising 117 members have returned to the country and completed the registration process. Additionally, 1243 travelers have returned through the Silk Road in Nimroz province.
The Financial Affairs Organizing Committee has provided a donation of 10,000 Afghanis to 10 families, totaling 100,000 Afghanis.
Returning refugees in Nimroz have been provided with various services, including health.
– Communication services: The Telecommunications Services Agency has distributed 33 SIM cards to returning refugees, offering free minutes and internet packages.
Public awareness sessions were conducted for 117 refugees on the Silk Road in Nimroz province.
They received valuable information about registration, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, as well as an understanding of the country, the Islamic system, immigration, patience and tolerance, education, and training.
Herat:
In Herat, 48 families have been accommodated in a short-term settlement camp.
Total figures for all committee activities are as follows:
Registered immigrants: 85 families comprising 372 individuals
Deported refugees: 14 families comprising 71 individuals
Assisted refugees: 50 families
Temporarily settled migrants: 92.families
Treated refugees: 822 individuals
Distributed SIM cards: 219 numbers
