Afghan refugees returned through various routes in to the country and received necessary services in different areas. The daily work reports of the committees are as follows:
Torkham (Durand Fictitious Line):
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee: A total of 19 families, consisting of 45 members, returned through Torkham and were registered and biometrically processed.
Finance Committee: The Financial Affairs Committee provided assistance of 10,000 Afghanis to the 19 returning families.
Transport and Transfer Committee:
Six families, comprising 30 members, were safely transported to Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, and Kabul provinces. Additionally, these families received a rental allowance of 1,000 Afghanis.
Temporary Settlement Committee:
Fifteen families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp in Torkham. Furthermore, five tents were erected in the Omari camp, and ten toilets were constructed.
Services and Health Affairs Committee: Various services, including food distribution, were provided to returning refugees in Torkham. A total of 700 meals and 45,000 liters of clean water were distributed in the Torkham camps. – Health services were offered to 583 returning refugees in Torkham. – Food items and clothing, such as blankets, floors, gas stoves, and eight packages of raw food, were distributed to the returning refugees. – Communication services provided 76-digit SIM cards to the returnees, free of charge, along with free minutes and internet packages.
Job Seeking Committee: The Torkham Employment Committee registered 75 individuals, including three bachelor’s degree holders, two memorizers, one religious scholar, 36 poor workers, and 33 professionals. – The committee also provided public awareness sessions on explosives, cleanliness, child protection, and information about Afghanistan to 289 children in Torkham. Games and recreational programs were organized for their mental well-being.
Committee for Organizing Mosques and Education: The organizing committee, in collaboration with officials from the Nangarhar province education department, registered 29 students for further education. They completed the initial stages of registration to facilitate their enrollment in educational institutions. – Refugees returning through Torkham, whose children’s education was incomplete, were officially introduced to their respective provinces to continue their education.
Kandahar
Spin Boldak (Durand Hypothetical Line):
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee: Thirty-three families, consisting of 170 members, returned through Spin Boldak and were successfully registered.
Finance Committee: The Financial Affairs Committee provided a total of 34,000 Afghanis to 34 families, with each family receiving 10,000 Afghanis.
Transport and Transfer Committee: Five families, totaling 20 members, were safely transported to Kabul from Spin Boldak. These families received a rental allowance of 16,000 Afghanis.
Temporary Settlement Committee: Seventy-one families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp in Spin Boldak.
Services and Health Affairs Committee: Various services, including food distribution, were provided to returning refugees in Spin Boldak. A total of 600 meals and clean water were distributed. – Health services were provided to 281 returnees in Spin Boldak. – Public awareness sessions on health were conducted, benefiting 533 refugees. – Tents, blankets, and other necessary items were distributed to refugees in short-term camps. – Communication services distributed 115 SIM cards, including free minutes and internet packages, to the returning refugees.
Job Seeking Committee: The employment committee registered 69 individuals, including one bachelor’s degree holder, one bachelor’s degree holder, four religious scholars, 43 poor workers, and 20 professionals. – Public awareness sessions on explosives, cleanliness, child protection, and Afghanistan were provided to 46 children in Spin Boldak. Games and entertainment programs were organized for their mental well-being.
Paktika
Angor Ada
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee: One family returned through the Angor Ada and was registered.
Finance Committee: The Financial Affairs Committee provided 10,000 Afghanis to the returning family.
Transport and transfer Committee: One family from Spin Boldak was safely transported to their area and village.
Services and Health Affairs Committee: Various services, including food distribution, were provided to returning refugees at the Angor Ada. A total of 24 meals and clean water were distributed in Angor Ada and Sharna.
Information and Public Awareness Committee: Public awareness sessions were conducted for refugees on the way to the Angor Ada. Topics covered included registration, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, understanding of the country, the Islamic system, migration, patience and tolerance, education, and training.
Nimroz Province:
Silk Road
Registration, Verification and Reception Committee:
A total of 32 families, comprising 117 members, have returned to the country through the Silk Road in Nimroz Province. They have been registered, along with 1762 other travelers who have also returned.
Finance Committee:
The Financial Affairs Organizing Committee provided 10,000 Afghanis to 6 families, totaling 60,000 Afghanis.
In Nimruz Province, 27 families have been accommodated in a short-term settlement camp.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning migrants along the Silk Road in Nimruz Province. The Communication and Information Technology officials distributed (32)-digit SIM cards to the refugees free of charge.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
Public awareness sessions were conducted for 117 refugees on the Silk Road in Nimroz Province. They received valuable information about registration, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, as well as an understanding of the country, the Islamic system, immigration, patience and tolerance, education, and training.
Herat:
In Herat, 31 families have been accommodated in a short-term settlement camp.
