Nangarhar
Torkham (Durand Fictitious Line)
Registration, Confirmation, and Reception Committee:
A total of 89 families returned to the country through Torkham. The committee successfully registered and processed the biometric data of 187 individuals from these families.
Finance Management Committee:
The Financial Affairs Organizing Committee provided financial assistance to (31) families, distributing a total of (310,000) Afghanis, with each family receiving 10,000 Afghanis.
Transport and Transfer Committee:
17 families consisting of 94 members were safely transported from Torkham to Nangarhar, Kunar, Laghman, and Kabul provinces. Additionally, these families received 14,000 Afghanis as travel support.
Services and Health Affairs Committee:
Various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning refugees in the Torkham camp today.
A total of 700 meals and 80,000 liters of clean water were distributed in the Torkham camps. Furthermore, the returned refugees received essential items such as blankets, flooring materials, gas stoves, 56 packages of raw food items, and other miscellaneous items. Additionally, 113 SIM cards were distributed to the returnees, free of charge, along with free minutes and internet packages.
Job Seeking Committee:
In Torkham, the employment committee registered a total of 113 professionals, including 5 individuals holding bachelor’s degrees, 3 individuals with post-baccalaureate degrees, 2 individuals holding associate degrees, 5 memorizers, and 32 unskilled workers.
The committee also conducted public awareness sessions on explosives, hygiene, child protection, and provided information about Afghanistan to 117 children in Torkham. Games and entertainment programs were organized for these children to promote their mental well-being.
Information and Public Awareness Committee:
In Torkham, the committee continued their efforts to raise public awareness among the refugees. They provided valuable information to the refugees regarding registration procedures, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, and fostered an understanding of the country, Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.
Similarly awareness campaigns were conducted in different areas by the ombudsmen of the Amr Ba-al-Moruf and Nahi-in-ul-Munkar Department of Nangarhar Province. Additionally, the committee, in collaboration with the IOM office, distributed 45 migration forms to the refugees.
Kandahar
Spin Boldak (Durand Fictitious Line)
A total of 44 families with 201 members returned to the country through Spin Boldak and were successfully registered.
The Financial Affairs Committee provided financial assistance to 43 families, giving each family 10,000 Afghanis, totaling 430,000 Afghanis.
Committee on Transport and Shipping:
9 families with 57 members from Spin Boldak were safely transported to Kabul. These families received 23,000 Afghanis as travel support.
Temporary Settlement Committee:
A total of 49 families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp in Spin Boldak.
In Spin Boldak, various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning refugees. This included the distribution of 500 meals and clean water. Additionally, 276 returnees received medical treatment, and 282 refugees received public awareness sessions on health in different areas. Tents, blankets, and bedding were distributed to refugees in the short-term camps.
The Telecommunication Services Agency distributed 156 SIM cards with free minutes and internet packages to the returning migrants at no cost.
In Spin Boldak, the employment committee registered a total of 143 professionals, including 6 individuals with bachelor’s degrees, 1 individual with a post-baccalaureate degree, 1 individual with a master’s degree, 4 religious scholars, and 100 unskilled workers. The committee also conducted public awareness sessions on explosives, hygiene, child protection, and Afghanistan, reaching out to 49 children in Spin Boldak.
In addition, the committee identified 3 children who were separated from their families and successfully reunited them with their families.
Paktika
Accreditation, Registration, and Reception Committee:
2 families returned to the country and were registered through the Angur base in Paktika.
During their journey to the Angur Base, 2 families received a cash donation of 10 Afghanis each, totaling 20,000 Afghanis.
Transport and Shipping Committee:
2 families from Angur Aday were safely transported to their respective villages and areas.
A total of 26 families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp in Angur Ada.
Committee on Services and Health Affairs:
Various services, including healthcare, were provided to the returning refugees at Angur base. This included the distribution of 35 meals and water in Angur Adha and Shirna. Additionally, 8 returnees received medical treatment at Angur base.
Nimroz
Silk Road
Registration, Varification and Reception Committee:
21 families consisting of 81 members returned to the country through the Silk Route in Nimroz province. These families were registered, and a total of 1583 travelers were also registered.
6 families in the Silk Road of Nimroz Province received a cash donation of 10 Afghanis each, amounting to a total of 60,000 Afghanis.
A total of 26 families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp in Nimroz.
Services including healthcare were provided to the refugees who returned via the Nimroz Silk Road. Officials from the communication and information technology sector distributed 21-digit SIM cards to the refugees free of charge, which included free minutes and internet packages.
Committee on Information and Public Awareness:
81 refugees on the Silk Road in Nimroz Province received public awareness sessions. They were provided with valuable information about registration procedures, transportation, financial assistance, short-term settlement, and fostered an understanding of the country, Islamic system, migration, patience, tolerance, education, and training.
Herat
A total of 35 families were accommodated in a short-term settlement camp in Herat.
Kabul
Today, 8 families, comprising 24 members, were safely transported to Khost, Paktia, Kunduz, and Balkh provinces. The total rental cost for these families’ transportation was 26,500 Afghanis.
