KABUL, July. 26 – Officials of Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) Company have told the nation in the government accountability program that the said company has collected over 33 billion AFN from customers in the past one year and deposited it into the state treasury.
Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Rahmani, the head of the Afghanistan Electricity Company, told the press conference of the accountability program, that in the past year, more than 46,000 meters have been registered in the electricity system and more than 70,000 meters have been converted from analog to digital.
Safiullah Ahmadzai, the operational director of DABS expressed that the 170-kilometer Kajaki-Kandahar line worth 3.5 million dollars was completed by Afghan engineers.
According to Ahmadzai, the Chimtal substation will be commissioned in the near future. This substation costs 600,000 dollars and all works have been done by Afghan engineers.
