Construction work on a major bridge in Paktika

PAKITIKA, Sep. 7 – The construction of a transit bridge in Parao area of Sarhwaza district between Sharana the provincial capital of Paktia province and its Urgun district with Governor cutting the ribbon. This is to replace a collapsed bridge in the Parao area of Sarhwaza.

Mohibullah Hamas, the Deputy Governor, Abdul Qayyum Hilal, the Police Chief, Haji Nik Mohammad Malang, the Military Affairs Officer, Deputy Military Affairs Officer, Mohammad Hazrat Jawad, Maulvi Adil, the Director of Public Works, Mohammad Amin Huzaifa, the Director of Culture and officials and representatives of various other agencies and administrations were present besides Mohammad Isa Yassin the Governor Paktika.

During the session, Mohammad Isa Yassin the Governor of Paktika said that the officials of the Islamic Emirate are committed to start development and reconstruction work as well as other affairs of the country and to serve the nation in a sincere and transparent way.

He went on to say that the bridge over the transit route, which was destroyed a few months ago, was facing many problems for the people and it will be repaired soon and the people will be able to travel as before.Mohibullah Hamas, Deputy Governor of Paktika and Director of Public Works, Maulvi Aal said the work on the bridge had officially started and would be completed in months’ time.

They said that the bridge being built for the time being to solve the problems of the people, while permanent bridge will be built at a cost of 12 million Afghanis.

The drivers of this transit route are pleased with the construction of the bridge and say that they have faced many problems in the past few years and the construction of this bridge will solve all the existing problems.
