The Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department of Ghazni Province has officially commenced the construction of a new water supply network in the Muqor district. The project, valued at over 7.3 million Afghanis, aims to significantly improve access to clean drinking water for local residents.
The initiative includes the construction of a 60-cubic-meter clean water reservoir, the installation of 6,710 meters of piping, and the connection of solar panels to power the system. Additionally, 132 water taps will be installed to ensure widespread access.
Once completed, the network is expected to provide clean drinking water to 260 families in the district. During the construction phase, the project will also create employment opportunities for dozens of local workers, contributing to the region’s economic development.
This project marks a critical step toward addressing water scarcity and improving living conditions in the Muqor district of Ghazni Province.
