The Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department of Kandahar Province has commenced the development of a water supply network in Karizak village, located in the Ghansh Maiwand district of the province. This initiative comes at a total cost of 4.7 million Afghanis.

 

The network’s components involve the excavation of a 160-meter deep well, the construction of a high-elevation reservoir capable of holding 20 cubic meters of clean water, the installation of a 1825-meter-long pipeline, connection of 30 solar panels, and the incorporation of 58 taps.

 

Throughout the implementation of this network project, numerous employment opportunities will be extended to workers. Upon its completion, 58 families within the village will gain access to a secure source of potable water.
