The Department of Rural Development and Reconstruction, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Agency and a Norwegian aid organization, has successfully built a clean drinking water network in the village of Badizo, located in Arghistan District of Kandahar Province.

This initiative aims to provide clean and healthy water to 160 families in the village. The completion of this project will address the long-standing issue of water scarcity and lack of access to clean drinking water that the villagers have faced for years. Additionally, it will help mitigate the spread of waterborne diseases caused by the consumption of unhealthy water, benefitting both the residents of the village and neighboring areas.

The delivery of this clean drinking water network signifies a significant improvement in the quality of life for the people in the targeted region, ensuring a reliable source of safe drinking water for their daily needs.
