The Kandahar Water and Energy Department officials, with financial backing from the United Nations Development Program, are actively engaged in the construction and cleaning of the Tori Karez canal in Mullah Wali village of Spin Boldak district. The estimated cost of the project is 11.38 million Afghanis.

 

Mullah Syed Mohammad Sharafat, the director of the Kandahar Water and Energy Department, stated that 190 meters of the canal are currently undergoing basic paving, while 100 meters are slated for cleaning. All the designated work is scheduled to be finalized within the upcoming two months. Additionally, Mullah Sharafat highlighted that this initiative has generated employment opportunities for numerous individuals.
