The Director of Information and Culture of Badakhshan, Engineer Zabihullah Amiri, leading a team to monitor the Silk Road, has reported that the construction of the historic Silk Road between China and Afghanistan has reached its zero point.
During a visit to Pamir Valley and Ghajir, Amiri shared that the initial phase of the Silk Road, spanning 60 kilometers in length and 11 meters in width, was initiated by the engineering department of the Ministry of National Defense.
The construction commenced from Ishkashim district and has made significant progress, reaching the Khandud area in the center of Wakhan district. Some sections are now ready for cementing, marking a major milestone in this vital transportation project.
