WARDAK, Dec. 08 – The Department of Education, the regional office of the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan under the framework of the rural development, education and training program a large school building named Umar Farooq has been completed and commissioned in Awal Khel area of the center of Maidan Wardak province.

 

The building, which is built on 3.5 acres of land with high quality at a cost of 19 million AFN, is handed over for use.

Detas say It has 12 teaching rooms, a well of clean drinking water and other related facilities where about 500 students of the area will receive their primary education.

 

The officials of the Swedish Committee say that they plan to repair 20 more schools in the province.

The residents of the district, teachers and students of the school has been asked to pay special attention to the maintenance of the said school building.
