As per the ministry of water and energy construction works have commenced on retaining walls and canals valued at $248,722 in the Sheikhabad and Tangi regions of Sayed Abad District, Maidan Wardak Province. The launch ceremony was attended by Minister of Water and Energy, Mujibur Rahman Omar Akhundzada, Governor of Maidan Wardak, Qari Bakhtiar Moaz, Chairman of Sindiza Sub-Division of Kabul, Engineer Mohammad Arif Momand, Chairman of Maidan City Sindiza Sub-Division, Mawlawi Abdul Samad Halim, along with other local dignitaries and community members.

 

During the project inauguration, the Governor of Maidan Wardak emphasized the commitment of the emirate officials to fulfill vital promises of country reconstruction. He ensured that projects are being executed at the provincial level with a focus on balanced development and urged local residents to collaborate with emirate authorities in the reconstruction efforts.

 

These initiatives are under the supervision of the Maidan city River Basin and are financially supported by the World Food Organization.
