Officials from Kabul Municipality have reported that the reconstruction of the Pul-e-Sukhta Intersection in District 6, which commenced some time ago, is close to finishing in efforts to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance traffic infrastructure.

The circular design of this intersection, previously a bottleneck for traffic, has been restructured into a functional intersection that will be managed using traffic lights and other signaling systems. Additionally, a new connecting road stretching 910 meters in length and 30 meters in width, linking Pul-e-Sukhta to another area, is currently under construction.

This road is set to be paved with asphalt and opened to traffic soon.

Furthermore, authorities have disclosed ongoing efforts to construct a new bridge spanning the Kabul River. The bridge, measuring 30 meters in length and 20 meters in width, will feature two lanes for vehicular traffic. This infrastructure development, along with the road improvements, is expected to be finalized within the next two months.
