ZABUL, Jan. 29 – The construction of Moghliz Bridge in Zabul Province, along the Kabul-Kandahar highway, has been successfully completed and inaugurated, according to ministry of public works.

The honorable Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Isa Thani, the Minister of Public Works, along with several central officials from the Ministry of Public Works of Zabul Province, were present for the ceremoney.

During the bridge’s opening ceremony, the Acting Ministry of Public Works stated that the Moghliz Bridge, measuring 49.2 meters in length and 8.2 meters in width, was contracted to a private construction and road construction company for a cost of 13 million Afghanis. The construction was completed within 8 months.

Furthermore, the Acting Minister of Public Works disclosed that the foundations of two other bridges, Ghoshi Rabat and Sanger Manda, along the same highway, have also been completed at a value exceeding 31 million Afghanis. With the completion of the Moghliz Bridge, all the bridges on the Kabul-Kandahar highway have now been finalized.

It is worth mentioning that these projects have provided job opportunities for local residents, and the completion of these bridges has significantly resolved transportation issues that people faced in the past.
