As per a statement of the Kabul Municipality The Khair Khwa Commercial Market (Electronic Goods Complex) in Nader Pashtun Avenue has been completed after two years of construction, following the design and standards set by Kabul Municipality and international guidelines.

Haji Mukhtiar Sharifi, the head of the Nader Pashtun Avenue Traders’ Association, explained that this extensive commercial market is built with nine floors, covering 9,600 square meters, and includes two basement levels. It will soon be open for use. The completion of this market is crucial for supporting the private sector and promoting the city’s economic growth.

The market will feature 1,360 shops, a mosque, parking for 1,300 vehicles, 170 restrooms, elevators, escalators, both solar and municipal power, fire safety measures, and secure entrance and exit points. The Administration Affairs Department managed the project with the support of the private sector, specifically the National Traders’ Association.

The market’s ownership is shared by the Ministry of Finance, National Bank, Kabul Municipality, and the private sector. In addition, as part of the city’s economic development plan, the construction of several other commercial markets in different locations is ongoing with the help of the private sector. These projects are expected to be finished in the near future.
