The ongoing construction of the remaining segment of the north-western Kabul connecting road is currently in progress. The Kabul Municipality’s Works, Maintenance, and Maintenance Department is actively engaged in tasks such as excavating and leveling mountain slopes to facilitate the opening of the road and the establishment of its foundational layers.

This road, stretching from the Zakirin settlement area (Kotal Khair Khana road) to the Qargha road, spans a length of 7645 meters and features a width of 30 meters divided into two lanes. Upon the completion of this thoroughfare, the significant traffic flow from the northern provinces to the western regions of Kabul will be redirected, mitigating congestion in the northern Sarai area and internal roads within Kabul.
