Construction of 8 mosques start along Kandahar-Herat highway

The Ministry of Public Works has entered into contracts with several construction firms amounting to approximately 259,895,060 million Afghanis for the establishment of 8 mosques along the Kandahar-Herat highway.

These mosques include the Meywand District Mosque in Kandahar Province, the Nad Ali District Mosque in Helmand Province, the Golestan and Farah Rod District Mosques in Farah Province, the Khashrud District Mosque in Nimroz Province, as well as the mosques in Shindand and Aderskan Districts of Herat Province.

The Ministry of Public Works has assigned the construction projects of these 8 mosques to different construction companies, and work has officially commenced and is currently in progress.

The construction of each mosque is anticipated to be completed within a year. It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Public Works had previously initiated the construction of 6 mosques along the Kabul-Kandahar highway, with construction activities ongoing.
