SARIPUL, Jan. 01 – Acting Minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Alhaj Mullah Muhammad Yunus Akhundzadeh, has initiated the construction of six check dams in Saripul province. These check dams, with a total value exceeding 37 million Afghanis.
The purpose of constructing these check dams is to address the water resource needs in the region. By creating these structures, water will be efficiently managed and harnessed to support agricultural activities, provide drinking water, and enhance the overall development of the area.
The check dams in Saripul province are strategically located to maximize their impact. They will help store water during the rainy seasons, preventing it from flowing away and instead allowing it to recharge underground reservoirs. This will contribute to sustainable water availability throughout the year, benefitting the local communities and supporting their livelihoods.
The initiative led by Minister Akhundzadeh demonstrates the commitment of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development to prioritize the development and welfare of rural areas. The construction of these check dams is a vital step towards ensuring a reliable water supply and creating opportunities for economic growth in Sarpul province.
