    According to local authorities in Badakhshan province, three irrigation reservoirs have been completed and are now operational in the Wardaj district. The construction cost exceeded 2 million Afghanis.

    Officials from the Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock in the province have confirmed that these reservoirs were funded by the Aga Khan’s office and have been established in three villages in the Wardaj district.
