Construction has commenced on the second phase of the Emirate Road within the vicinity of Mazar-e-Sharif’s industrial parks, with a budget of 40 million Afghanis.

Alhaji Mawlawi Muhammad Kazim Tariq, the mayor of Mazar-e-Sharif, has stated that Mazar-e-Sharif municipality is currently executing 43 development projects, with a significant focus on the industrial park road project costing 40 million Afghanis sourced from the municipality’s internal revenue. The bitumen work for the Emirate Road has initiated in the city’s sixth district, spanning 1400 meters in length and 14 meters in width.

Mr. Tariq further elaborated that this road is being constructed to standard specifications, incorporating features such as bridge paths, curbs, green spaces, lighting installations, road markings, traffic signal placements, and all other elements characteristic of a standard road. The projected timeline for the completion of this road is six months.
