The commencement of the second lane construction on the Kabul-Ghazni highway was initiated by Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, alongside other officials.

This milestone project, crucial for enhancing transportation infrastructure, signifies a significant step for the Islamic Emirate. Deputy Minister Baradar highlighted the importance of this development, emphasizing how it will facilitate commercial activities, reduce transportation costs and time, and improve convenience for passengers. The project is expected to generate numerous job opportunities along the route and strengthen trade relations between Kabul and Ghazni, as well as with neighboring countries like Iran and Pakistan.

Citizens were urged to support this national endeavor for timely completion, with a call for the contractor to ensure high-quality road construction. Spanning 111 kilometers with 9 major bridges and 594 culverts, the project aims for timely completion within the designated timeframe.
