    ZABUL, Feb. 01 – The United Nations Development Program/UNDP has finished the construction of a dam at a cost of 92,000 US dollars in “Tana Chah” area of Qalat city, the capital of Zabul province.

     

    Construction of this dam, which is 7m high, 30m broad, and 210m long, began five months ago.

     

    700 hectares of agricultural land will be irrigated by the dam’s 280,000 cubic meters of storage space.
