According to ministry of water and energy 2 check dams completed in various distruct of Ghor province while vonstruction of another dams commenced.
Details say, The Tahab Checkdam Project in Tulak District, Nurak Checkdam Project in Pasaband District, and Haji Checkdam in Chaharseda District, collectively valued at 13,078,571 Afghanis from the Ministry of Water and Energy’s development budget, have reached completion, and commissioned.
During the inauguration meeting for these projects, attendees included Alhaji Mullah Rahmatullah Amani, the head of Ghor Sindiza sub-district, provincial representatives, district governors, representatives from implementing companies, and local leaders.
Addressing the significance of water at the project’s launch, the head of the Ghor river sub-district emphasized that these initiatives aim to mitigate floods, minimize associated damages, and facilitate the collection of seasonal and groundwater resources for nourishment.
Noteworthy specifications include the Tulak Tahab Checkdam’s storage capacity of 12,000 cubic meters, the Pasaband Nurak Checkdam’s capacity of 15,000 cubic meters, and the Chaharsada Haji Checkdam’s capacity of 13,500 cubic meters.
These projects have not only generated employment opportunities but also brought benefits to numerous families in the region.
