The Acting Minister of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development laid the foundation stone for a water dam in Faizu village, Nawa district of Ghazni province.
The dam, costing 19 million Afghanis, is set to be 210 meters long, 6 meters high, and will have the capacity to store 30,000 cubic meters of water.
This project is expected to create job opportunities for numerous workers during the construction phase. Once completed, it will help manage rainwater in the village and sustain the groundwater level.
