Commander killed as post overrun in Faryab

FARYAB, Jan. 19 – Reports arriving from Sharin Tagab district state that a hireling check post located in Faizabad area came under a Mujahideen attack overnight.
Attacks of heavy and light arms lasted for about one and half hour, overrunning the said post, leaving commander Hayatullah killed along with his guard.
Reports add, a PKM machine gun, 1 RPG launcher with 9 rounds, 2 rifles, 2 communication radios, 1 binocular, 5000 mix ammos and other equipment were also confiscated while Mujahideen suffered no casualties.
