Colonel, 2 puppets killed, 5 hurt in Paktia

PAKTIA, May 25 – A roadside bomb blast killed a puppet soldier and left one injured in Gardiz city, the provincial capital of Paktia province late Wednesday, while a puppet was killed with another wounded when Mujahideen attacked the enemy convoy in Zurmat district of the province early on Wednesday.

On Thursday, colonel Ashraf was killed in a targeted attack in Gardiz city.

Later, a roadside bomb blast hit an enemy vehicle, leaving 3 policemen injured.

In the province’s Patan district, 4 policemen were killed with a tank destroyed after Mujahideen attacked a police post early Thursday.

On Wednesday, Mujahideen shelled an enemy base with heavy weapons in but it is not clear if anyone has been killed or wounded.
