China’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Yu Xiaoyong, held discussions with Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi.

The meeting centered on bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and regional affairs between the two nations.

 

Initially, the Foreign Minister acknowledged the positive nature of relations between the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and the People’s Republic of China, commending the advancements in trade between the two countries.

 

In response, the Chinese Special Representative expressed satisfaction with the positive developments in bilateral relations, affirming China’s respect for the values and choices of the Afghan people.

He also underlined the importance of the Afghan Foreign Minister’s participation in the upcoming meeting of Foreign Ministers from Afghanistan’s neighboring countries.
