These dams are situated in the Shal, Sagi, and Sartaq regions of Kunar, with each expected to yield approximately 700 megawatts of electricity.

 

Meanwhile, experts underscore the critical significance of the Kunar River for Afghanistan. They believe that by constructing dams on this river, Afghanistan will achieve self-sufficiency in electricity production.
