ZABUL, Nov. 14 – As many as 60 children were infected with whooping coughthe in Barah Khilo area, Shajoy district, and Ishaqzai Manda area of Shahri Safa district of Zabul province, said Dr. Abdul Hakim Hakimi, Director of Public Health of Zabul.
He added that samples were collected for the purpose of treatment in SST and Ada Institute vaccine implementation teams were sent to the areas and the patients have been treated.
Mr. Hakimi says the vaccine against whooping cough is being applied in the area following discobery of the deisese.
