Key area overrun in Shawalikot

KANDAHAR, Jul. 21 – Reports say, ALP and ANA troops have entirely fled and abandoned check posts in Mano area of Shawalikot district last night due to fear of Mujahideen attacks, bringing a large area under the control of Mujahideen.
It must be mentioned that 7 APCs and 4 rangers were destroyed in the said area after Mujahideen attacked an enemy reinforcement convoy, killing and wounding more than 32 gunmen including key commanders.
Likewise enemy also have fled and abandoned a strategic base and all check posts in Chinar area yesterday.
