Check post overrun in Nad Ali, 9 police killed

HELMAND, Jan. 12 – A police check post in Kochyano area of Nad Ali district reported to have been attacked by Mujahideen sniper fire overnight.

According to details the post was overrun after a brief resistance, killing 9 ANP gunmen and forcing the rest to flee.

A PKM machine gun, 2 rifles, 1 RPG launcher and other equipment were confiscated from the post.
