Check post overrun in Geirshk, 12 killed

HELMAND, Aug. 15 – According to reports, Mujahideen managed to overrun a hireling check post in Band Barq area of Gerishk district after a brief resistance overnight, killing 12 puppets inside while leaving several others wounded.
According to details, 6 PKM machine guns, 4 rifles, 1 RPG launcher, 1 sniper gun and other equipment have been confiscated.
2 Mujahideen are said to have been martyred.
