Check post overrun in Faryab, gunman hurt

FARYAB, Dec. 16 – According to reports, Mujahideen managed to overrun a hireling check post in Gandab area of Chilgazy district overnight following an intense gunfight of heavy and light arms, forcing the enemy to flee after taking heavy fatalities.

A pistol, 1 Kalashnikov, 1 communication radio, 8 RPG rounds and other ammunition were seized.

Separately,  a gunman was seriously wounded in a Mujahideen ambush in Arab area of Pashtun Kot district midday today.
