KHOST, Apr. 24 – Over 40 combined foreign and local military personnel suffered casualties in today’s martyr attack striking Camp Chapman located close to the down town Khost city,  the capital of the province with the same name,  according to Al-Emarah News.

Al-Emarah reporter said a Mujahid of the martyr unit rammed a vehicle filled with explosives into the main gate for base around 1:00 PM local time, blowing the gate and security checkpoint apart.

The team of martyr attackers then forced their way into the base and drew the enemy personnel in a bloody fighting.

The casualty toll of combined foreign troops and military trainers as well as local military security personnel reached at least 40.

Monday’s successful attack in Khost came 3 days after a Mujahideen stormed Army’s 209th Shaheen Corps in Balkh province, inflicting casualties on as many 500 enemy military personnel.
