Moscow Format and Afghans’ Expectations

Following its special interest in certain political and economic purposes, the international community has kept its influence in Afghanistan issue, over the last several decades.
More than four decades ago, the former Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan, the western world condemned the action and clearly supported the resistance and jihad of the Afghan Mujahideen.

Even after the victory of the last Jihad, the international community did not end its intervention and remained here under different names and slogans, until in 2001, the U.S. and its allies invaded Afghanistan under the empty slogan of fighting against terrorism.
Following their proud history, the Afghans once again stood bravely against the invading forces and fought hard and unequal war for 20 years.
Now that Afghanistan has achieved a powerful and independent government with the sacrifices of tens of thousands of martyrs and is completely independent in terms of relations with the world and the region, the U.S. and its allies are trying to create a series of political
and economic problems for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan at the international level.
The leaders of the Islamic Emirate and some countries of the world have now realized this problem and are trying to adjust their mutual
relations in accordance to their own interests and goals.

Earlier the Russian Ambassador in Kabul Dimiry Zhirnov in a meeting with the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, discussed bilateral relations and invited FM Muttaqi to participate in the next meeting of the Moscow Format on behalf of Afghanistan.

The coming Moscow Format meeting is expected to discuss regional cooperation and visa and travel facilities for Afghan business-
men. It has been said that in the meeting which is expected to be held in the near future in Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation,
regional countries will confer on Afghanistan.
The participation of the delegation of the Islamic Emirate in such meetings is not only necessary for Afghanistan but also for the regional countries for the purpose of having friendly relations with the current system.

The Islamic Emirate is facing two basic international problems, first official recognition and second economic sanctions and restrictions. The delegation of the Islamic Emirate will participate in the meeting with full preparation and encourage the countries of the region to recognize the government of the Islamic Emirate and strengthen bilateral relations in the economic sector.

The situation is paved now better than ever and the Islamic Emirate to use the opportunity for its own interest to convince the global fraternity for the recognition of the Islamic Emirate. Let us hope that Mascow formate may meet this time afghans expectilations and ply its role in adressing both key problems of recognition and unfreezing afghan’s assets.
