The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan convened its fifth Cabinet meeting on September 9, 2024, chaired by Prime Minister Al-Haj Mullah Muhammad Hasan Akhund. During the session, crucial matters were deliberated upon and decisions were reached.

 

The proceedings commenced with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by discussions led by Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir. The delegation was tasked with lauding the security agencies for their efforts in upholding national security. To enhance security measures and foster better coordination, it was mandated that relevant agencies conduct regular meetings and share reports with the Prime Minister’s Office.

 

Furthermore, Director General of Administrative Affairs, Sheikh-Al-Hadith Mawlavi Noorul Haq Anwar, was assigned the duty of engaging with institutions overseeing the country’s reconstruction affairs. This initiative aimed to bolster coordination and ensure a more targeted approach in their endeavors.

 

The Cabinet session culminated with a prayer for the welfare of the populace.
