Cabinet approves proposal of using domestic products in Govt institutions

KABUL, Jan. 03 – In the 19th meeting of the cabinet, the recommendations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade have been approved, according to which all institutions of the IEA to start using domestic products as much as possible.

This cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister of the IEA  Alhaj Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund on Monday.

The cabinet decided that the Ministry of Information and Culture, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Hajj and Awqaf and Higher Education should also participate in public awareness related to the use and consumption of domestic production. In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade should encourage the factory owners for quality and reliable production.

In this cabinet meeting, the delegation led by the deputy minister of the Ministry of Public Works, the deputy minister of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, the assistant of the attorney general and technical personnel was given the task to take a close look of the Salang highway tunnel and the traffic flow and share the plan regarding to the problems in the cabinet meeting.

Meanwhile, the delegation was entrusted with the task of considering an alternative transit route along the Salang highway to the north, estimate its budget, required time and in what capacity it can be built and submit a full report to the cabinet.

In this meeting, the recommendations of the Ministry of Economy regarding the reconstruction and operation of cold rooms were also approved and decided that the said Ministry, Industry and Commerce, Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock Ministries and relevant bodies should take necessary actions in this regard.
