Around 80000 tons of goods transported by railway lines last week

KABUL, Jan. 27 – During the last week Afghanistan Railway facilitated the transportation of a significant volume of goods, amounting to 79,834 metric tons, says ARA in a statement.

Among these, 69,068 tons were transported via Hairatan Railway, 2,653 tons via Aqeena Railway, and 8,113 tons via Torghondi Railway. The materials transported included petroleum, non-petroleum products, and various other commodities, contributing to the import and export activities of the country.

It is worth noting that a portion of these transfers involved transit and export operations. Over the course of the previous week, 811 tons of goods were transited and exported, predominantly consisting of dry fruits, rice, and fresh fruites.

The Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) remains committed to enhancing the conditions for increased transfers and providing essential facilities to traders, aiming to facilitate smoother trade operations and drive economic growth.
