The diplomatic representation of the Islamic Emirate in Karachi, Pakistan, confirmed the release and repatriation of 44 Afghan refugees previously held by the Pakistani government. These individuals were transported back to Afghanistan through Torkham.

According to the Afghan Consul General in Karachi, the group includes 21 students who were detained by Pakistani authorities. Abdul Jabbar Takhari, the Consul General representing the Islamic Emirate in Karachi, emphasized in a recorded statement that these refugees had been detained for lacking proper documentation and were kept in custody even after completing their terms.

He called upon the Pakistani government to halt the detention of Afghan refugees and swiftly facilitate the return of these individuals to Afghanistan.
