Around 200 addicts rounded for treatment, 20 held for drug offenses

Based on independent operations conducted by the anti-narcotics police under the Ministry of Interior, 183 individuals struggling with drug addiction were gathered from Kabul city and relocated to the drug addiction treatment camp (Ameed) for rehabilitation.

 

Meanwhile, law enforcement apprehended 16 individuals in Kabul, 6 in Ghor, and Nimroz for involvement in drug sale, usage, and trafficking. During these operations, authorities confiscated 6 kg of crystal meth, 3 kg of opium, 4 kg of hashish, and a quantity of illicit substances.

 

Moreover, these officials discovered multiple drug processing facilities in Ghor and Farah, subsequently dismantling and incinerating them along with all associated equipment.
