ARCS President Meets Norwegian Red Cross Secretary General  

Sheikh-ul-Hadith Shahabuddin Delawar, the Acting president of ARCS and his deputy, Hafiz Azizur Rahman, held a coordination meeting with the Secretary General of Norwegian Red Cross, Ms. Anabrag, and her delegation at ARCS headquarter, says Afghan Red Vrescent Society (ARCS) in a statement today.

Mr. Delawar provided a comprehensive overview of ARCS healthcare initiatives via central hospital, treatments of children suffering from ventricular septal defects and psychological patient care and treatment , and the reference of patients with severe burn injuries and bone infections to Germany for advanced care.

The president also appealed for urgent assistance to support those affected by climate changes, natural disasters and returned immigrants during the harsh winter season . Additionally, he acknowledged the crucial role of both domestic and international relief agencies in addressing these challenges.

Ms. Anabrag praised Afghan Red Crescent’s humanitarian efforts, describing them as fruitful and effective in supporting the underserved communities and reaffirmed the Norwegian Red Cross’s commitment to continued collaboration and assistance, emphasizing on the importance of joint efforts of ARCS and NRC in delivering humanitarian aid.
