KABUL, Jun. 10 – The head of Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) met with the General Director of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Asia regarding humanitarian aid to Afghanistan in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka in order to attract enough aid to Afghanistan.

In the meeting, Mawlavi Muti-ul -Haq Khals, head of the Afghan Red Crescent Society , said people in Afghanistan are facing many problems, therefore, in this difficult situation, there is a serious need to arrest them properly.
This year, in addition to normal activities, our focus is on helping widows, helping beggars, supporting and caring for mental patients, and treating children with heart problems, all of which cost a lot, he said.

He asked the countries and charity organization of the world to help the Afghan Red Crescent in this difficult situation.
A number of donors want to help us in many fields, but due to sanctions of World Bank , they cannot send their aid directly to Afghanistan, which makes our work difficult, said Mawlavi Mati-ul- Haq Khalis.

We tried many times to solve this problem, but there was no positive result, he said.

In the meeting, Christine Cipolla, General Director of the International Committee of the Red Cross for Asia, supported the words of Mawlavi Mati al-Haq Khals, said that in order to attract enough aid to Afghanistan, to attract new donors , we are trying to find a solution for the issue of banning the transfer of money to Afghanistan, and we have talked to the authorities many times about this issue and we will intensify our efforts in this regard.

We are trying to focus on the countries of the Arab world in order to attract aid and turn them into the future donors of Afghanistan, therefore, there is a need for joint cooperation in this field.
