In a significant development, Wardak Province has commenced the export of cherries and apricots to India for the first time.

Mawlawi Muhammad Idris Hanif, the Director of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock in Maidan Wardak Province, confirmed this milestone achievement.

He further stated that there are plans to expand the export of fresh fruits to Arab countries in the future.

The initiation of apricot exports marks a notable increase in foreign trade since the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate. This positive trend demonstrates the growing potential for Afghan products to reach international markets, contributing to economic growth and development.
