Anterior Minister Lays Foundation Stone of Freedom Tower in Memory of Historical Exchange in Khost

KABUL, Dec. 03 – H.E Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, Minister of Interior of the IEA, laid foundation stone for establishment of “Beacon of Freedom “, in memory of historical exchange of American soldier – Bergdahl – with five senior leaders of the IEA in Babrak Thana region of Khost Province, said ministry of anterior in a statement.

American General Bergdahl was exchanged with five senior leaders of IEA, Mawlawi Muhammad Nabi Omari, Mullah Abdul Haq Wasiq, Mullah Muhammad Fazil Mazloom, Mullah Noorullah Noori and Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa in the deal.

Mr, Haqqani, laid the foundation stone of a large complex that will have a religious seminary, a school, a clinic and a freedom tower, expressing about the wisdom and efforts of this exchange and called it a great help from Allah the almighty and that archived by the Mujahideen in such difficult time with limited possibilities.

It is worth mentioning that as a result of this exchange, not only five respected leaders were released, but the fate of Doha negotiations was also moved towards success.
