The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock have revealed the signing of a contract with a private entity to revive the Rishkhor Dairy Factory located in Kabul.

During the contract signing event, Mawlawi Zhamir Osmani, Deputy Minister of the Ministry, emphasized that the factory’s reopening aims to bolster support for livestock farmers, generate employment opportunities, enhance dairy output, and fortify the nation’s economy.

Under the terms of the agreement, the contracted company will procure milk for the factory from Kabul, Logar, Maidan Wardak, and various other provinces.

Furthermore, the company representatives have disclosed plans to establish dairy processing facilities in four distinct regions across the country in the near future.

With a processing capacity of 40,000 liters per batch and 100,000 liters within a 24-hour span, the Rishkhor Dairy Factory yields 12 different dairy products. The operational rights of the factory have been entrusted to Milko for a duration of 10 years.
